Dollhouses

There is proof that dollhouses started as early as the 1500’s, but the records became very real starting in the 1800’s. Germany was a major source for early dollhouses. They created both wood and paper dollhouses. With the English Empire on the rise in the 1800’s, dollhouses were common among English families as well. The highest regard for dollhouse design was still pointed at Germany, with many dollhouses being copied by the English. Even to this day, Germany produces some of the highest value dollhouses on the market.
