So that it opens up from the right. This card can be any size you want. Just remember that you will have to make an envelope to fit it so it is easier to go with normal sized cards that fit envelopes unless you will be making your own.
Step Two Cut 1 Piece of wrapping Paper 1/4" shorter all the way around than your card . Paste the wrapping paper in the center the of your card so that all the edges around are even. If you wrapping paper has a detailed design, try to cut the paper so that the most beautiful part of the design is on the piece you cut.
Step Three Decorate your the front of your card with ribbons and embellishments. On our card we added a ribbon at the side that matched the ribbon on our gift and then cut out an oval and printed the words MOM on it and attached it with small brass brads. You can use any embellishment you wish . Try to match your accents with one of the colors in the card for a more striking look.
There you have the finished card. What a beautiful accent to your gift and cost you pennies! Still have some wrapping paper left over? Go all the way and make a lovely little gift tag and even decorate the inside of your envelope. Making the Gift Tag Cut out a little tag or use a pre made tag. We used a pre made tag . Find a little piece of your wrapping paper that has a nice design and glue the tag to the BACK SIDE (white side) of the wrapping paper.
Cut the tag out and decorate with matching ribbon.
Attach tag to the gift or use as an accent on the card. To make the envelope flap. Trace around the pointed end of your envelope and extend the line down so that a little bit of the wrapping paper will slide inside the bottom part of your envelope. Cut out the wrapping paper and glue to the inside flap of the envelope. And there you have it! Three beautiful accents you made in minutes for pennies and look at how nice that looks when you present it !
